The U.N. refugee agency says a U:S.

A statement from the Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees said the student was traveling with the permission of his sponsor and had submitted the application to the U:s department in April.
The student, who cannot be identified for security reasons, is from the Dominican Republic.

The U:spers are currently evaluating the application and may request additional information.
