Google News India is reporting that a group of engineers working on Apple’s iPhone app have discovered that they’re still working on the Dmv app in India, despite Apple announcing in June that they would be bringing the Apple Watch app to the country in March.
A source at Apple’s Indian product development company, IDEs, told the publication that the engineers had been working on DmV for two months now, and had found a bug that caused the app to crash on launch.
“Apple’s App Store team, along with the DMOs, were able to work out the issue and have fixed it,” the source said.
“It’s a bit of a surprise.”
Dmv was previously released for iOS and Android, but Apple has only announced that it would be coming to India in March 2018.
Apple’s India rollout will be a major step in bringing the Watch app into the country, as it will be the first Apple Watch-specific app to be released in India.
The Apple Watch in India has been an extremely popular accessory for Apple’s loyal customers in India and has been the subject of a number of leaks and rumours over the last few months.
