By Monday morning, all but three of AMC’s flagship AMC Theatres network shows will be back online.
But for some, the network shows aren’t.
On Monday, AMC announced the shows will no longer be available on demand, with the exception of The Walking Dead, which will still be available.
For those who still want to watch the shows, they can still purchase a digital copy of the series through AMC’s online app.
“It is unfortunate that AMC’s new approach to online content will not be a success for all of us, but the network has demonstrated its commitment to making our programs available on digital platforms,” said AMC CEO David Nevins.
“Our shows have long been available on TV through the network, and we’re proud to continue that tradition.”
While AMC’s shows were always available on DVD and Blu-ray, Nevins says this is the first time that they’ll be available digitally.
The network’s shows will still remain available via digital download, but they won’t be available for streaming.
