Wells Fargo has added an app to its application process to help users fill out appointment calendars for doctors and other medical professionals.
The app, called Appointment Scheduling, allows users to schedule appointments by location and time and also has a schedule of nearby appointments.
The app is now available for iPhone and Android.
Wells Fargo said the app will be available to its millions of customers starting today.
It also will include appointment scheduling in the next release of the app, said Matt Werthe, a senior vice president at Wells Fargo Health Care.
The announcement comes on the heels of a recent decision by Wells Fargo to drop the app from its application processes for doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, a move that drew widespread criticism from health care workers.
The decision was prompted by the fallout from the release of an unflattering study that suggested some medical practices were hiring more health care professionals than they were hiring nurses.
In addition to the Wells app, the company is working on a mobile app to let its customers make appointments by appointment date, according to Wertthe.
The company has also released a new website, Wells Fargo Appointment Calendar, which shows where its employees can sign up for appointments and to see how many appointments they can get.
The Appointment Schedule app is currently available on iPhone and iPad.
